How we are organised

Regular Meetings and Networking

  • We convene all European practitioners to an annual meeting of Members and interested public development agencies of administrations of the EU Member States.
  • The members of our core group, composed according to the troika principle (the former, the current and the future President and organiser of the annual meeting), together with the leaders of the thematic groups, have very regular contacts. They meet physically every 3 or 4 months to review current issues and make decisions concerning the steering of the Network and the preparation of meetings.
  • Several thematic groups deal with themes of cooperation which have been deemed relevant for long-term collaboration between interested participants. On an ad hoc basis, they organise specific workshops in their respective domains. They report their findings and activities at the annual meeting. New working groups can be created on demand and interest of the network members.
  • The network's website facilitates the ongoing communication between all members by offering workspaces for information exchange and online interaction.

Members of the Coregroup

The Core group is currently composed of the UK Department for International Development (DFID, past President for the period 2010-2011), LuxDev (current President for the period May 2011 - May 2012), and GIZ (future President from May 2012).

Agence Française de Développement (AFD), KfW Entwicklungsbank and EuropeAid, as thematic group leaders, also participate to core group works and meetings.
