AECID has gathered a number of participants from members of the Practitioners' Network, but also think tanks and development ministries for a meeting on Europe’s Triangular Cooperation, a modality which has been growing rapidly. This was an opportunity to share experiences, operational challenges and emerging lessons. The workshop also aimed at preparing the Bogota conference on South-South cooperation, for which a contribution is to be drafted.
A group of members of both the Practitioners' Network and Train4Dev has elaborated a concept for a joint training initiative, aiming at building a common knowledge in European issues and development cooperation among European practitioners, both at field and headquarter (operational services) levels.
The initiative was presented in May and June 2010 during the annual meetings of the Practitioners' Network and of Train4Dev.
A wide group of development actors met in Paris for a 1,5 day conference and debate about questions raised by the accountability of development agencies in their own countries towards their governments, parliaments, civil societies etc.
Details on the programme and speakers can be found in the invitation form.
